One Word Wednesday: A little late

Last week's One Word Wednesday was rudely interrupted by our unfortunate theft incident. This week it is back with a vengeance, beginning with our Mediterranean "cruise" from Barcelona to Porto Torres, Sardegna. Nadia, in fact, has always wanted to go on a Disney Cruise so I told her I would make the ferry ride as "Disney" as possible (since a real Disney cruise will never happen).

 

            The Cruise Ship:  Pristine

  The pre-boarding buffet:  Extravagant

The name of our cabin:  Minnie's Chalet

 

          The towel creatures:  Freaky

 

           The Play Room: High Tech

                 The Pool:  Empty

When we arrived in Sardegna, our first stop was at a house not far from the charming town of Alghero.  We explored the beaches and sites in the area. 

 

        The number of stairs down to

                  Neptune's Grotto:  

          Six hundred and thirty five. 

     The temperature difference inside

             the grotto:  Dramatic

      The number of years it takes the             stalagmites to grow one centimeter:

                 One Hundred

     The water around Spiaggia Pelosa:

                          Unreal

After spending three days in the Alghero area, we headed South along the coast and then inland towards our farmhouse.

We stopped in the charming town of Bosa on the way. I wondered the streets on my own for awhile and fell in love with the the bright colored house and narrow alleys.

        The amount of time it takes for 

        laundry to dry in Bosa:  Minutes

      From faraway Bosa resembles a

     town on what continent?  Africa. 

After Bosa we headed inland and eventually made it to the farm.

     The rock inside of the farmhouse:

                              Fun

           The Sardinian Flatbread:

                           Huge 

        How we felt after every meal:

                           Full
