Parenting on the road

So it turns out that pools play a very important role on our journey this summer. Everyone gets a fresh start after playing in the pool at the end of the day. The water washes away any grumpiness and perks up road weary kids. And losing pool privileges provides us with some leverage if things get out of control (which they do).

Kinders play an important role too. If you are not familiar with them, they are chocolate eggs with a toy surprise in the middle. The kids are mad about them and they are the perfect reward when someone needs a nudge (yes we bribe our children:)

Our next destination is a farm in central Sardegna. With no pool. Oh dear God.  Look for a sharp increase in Kinder stock folks. Buy now!

Ciao and Baci

  1. You know those Kinder Eggs are illegal in the U.S.?!
Seriously... enjoy them while you can (and smuggle back a few).

Happy (almost) birthday! I hope you have a fun day planned.
